The amount of air should be equivalent to the units of insulin you will take.<\/li>\n<li>Push the needle through the center of rubber top of insulin bottle until the entire needle goes in, then slowly push down on the plunger to push the air into the bottle.<\/li>\n<li>Leave needle in the insulin bottle.
